Dr. Lauren Thomas is a proud alumna of Heritage High School, born at Parkridge East and raised in the scenic town of Ringgold, GA. Her deep-rooted connection to the Chattanooga area is evident. She has chosen to return with her husband, a Ringgold native, to raise their son amidst the city’s vibrant culture and natural beauty.

She attended Kennesaw State University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and received the University Honors Scholar Award given to the Top Graduate of the program. She then went on to attend The Medical College of Georgia in Athens, GA. And then completed her residency at The University of Florida Pensacola OBGYN Residency Program at Ascension Sacred Heart. She was the Chief Resident of Education in her 3rd year, and the Administrative Chief Resident in her 4th year, and the Graduate Medical Education Committee representative for her program.

For Dr. Thomas, medicine is more than just a profession. She explored other potential specialties during medical school; however, none came close to her passion for women’s health, and she felt led by the Lord to pursue OBGYN. In obstetrics, she cherishes the privilege of ushering new life into the world and supporting mothers throughout their journey. In gynecology, she is dedicated to addressing women’s health challenges and understanding the profound impact they can have on their quality of life.

Dr. Thomas is an avid foodie outside her medical practice, always eager to explore Chattanooga’s rich culinary offerings. She balances a diverse range of hobbies, from delving into crafts and painting to embracing dance rhythm, having even taught Zumba classes during her residency. A fervent Taylor Swift fan, she finds solace in piecing together puzzles with friends, all set to the backdrop of Swift’s memorable tunes. Amidst these pursuits, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son.
