Stacy Hanson, CNM is a certified nurse midwife with more than 17 years of nursing experience and a strong background in women’s health and labor and delivery. She provides comprehensive midwifery care with a focus on supporting patients throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond.
Stacy began her nursing career in 2008 after earning her LPN degree from Chattanooga State. She went on to obtain her RN from Cleveland State in 2014, her BSN from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2022, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University in 2025. Her professional experience includes long-term care, psychiatric nursing, nursing management, and labor and delivery.
She spent seven years working as a labor and delivery nurse at Tennova in Cleveland and Parkridge East, where she developed a deep passion for women’s health. It was during this time that Stacy knew she wanted to continue her education and become a midwife, allowing her to provide more individualized care and support to patients.
Born and raised in Chattanooga, Stacy is excited to return to Galen, where she previously worked as a medical assistant in 2008. She values Galen’s patient-centered approach and is proud to now serve the community as a provider. In addition to her clinical work, Stacy is a clinical instructor for nursing students and finds great fulfillment in mentoring future nurses and helping them recognize their potential.
