Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Shawn is a Cleveland, TN native, a graduate of Cleveland High School and Lee University. She pursued a Masters in Nursing through Vanderbilt University and specialized in Women’s Health, as she felt strongly that this was her passion. She spent the first year of her career working as an RN in the Mother/Baby Unit in Richmond, VA and then spent three years in private practice OBGYN working as a Nurse Practitioner in Fredericksburg, VA.
Once Shawn and her husband started a family, they decided to make the move back to Cleveland where she found a job working for the Hamilton County Health Department in the Family Planning Clinic for three years before starting at Galen in 2015. Working at Galen has been the highlight of her career as she thoroughly enjoys taking care of women’s health.
