Originally from Tion, GA, Dr. Anna Melnikoff is a distinguished OBGYN specialist who has strategically chosen to position her practice in Chattanooga, close to her familial roots and the captivating scenic beauty of the mountains. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain scholar with majors in chemistry and Spanish and a minor in anthropology. She then went on to attend Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, and then she completed her residency at UAB, where she received the “Best Teaching Chief Resident” Award.
Dr. Melnikoff has always had a love of science and an unwavering desire to help others. She was led to pick OBGYN as her specialty because she gets to help women through all stages of life, and she truly loves delivering babies and operating. The principle that knowledge empowers is at the core of Dr. Melnikoff’s medical philosophy. She is steadfast in her commitment to informed patient collaboration, ensuring they are equipped with critical insights as they collectively navigate medical decisions.
Outside her professional purview, Dr. Melnikoff is dedicated to her family. Her husband, Brett, an accomplished adult cardio-thoracic surgeon at CHI Memorial, has been a pillar of support since their initial meeting on the first day of medical school. Their family is graced with two daughters, Ellie and CeCe. Dr. Melnikoff values intellectual growth, often indulging in reading, and cherishes opportunities for international travel.
