Born and raised in Chickamauga, GA, Melissa Lee is a proud Gordon Lee High School graduate. Her journey into medicine began with a change of heart during her initial semester in college. Originally aspiring to be a social worker, a life-altering car accident shifted her perspective, drawing her closer to the world of nursing, inspired by her mother’s path.
Practicing since 2015, Melissa is a dedicated professional. She started her journey in the medical field as a medical assistant in vascular surgery during her undergraduate years. During this phase, she was profoundly inspired by a nurse practitioner, prompting her to further her studies and achieve her credentials.
A deep love for patient interaction is at the core of Melissa’s medical practice. She believes in the power of relationships in medicine and cherishes the bonds she forms with her patients. Her primary focus is preventative care, ensuring her patients receive treatment and guidance to lead their healthiest lives. Her patient-centric approach builds a solid rapport and emphasizes health preservation and prevention.
Melissa is a dedicated wife and mother to 3 children outside of her professional life. Her ideal day off encapsulates nature and family, perhaps hiking or spending a day on the boat. A passionate cook, she delights in preparing meals for family and friends. As the day concludes, you’ll often find her immersed in a book, another of her cherished pastimes.
