Kay Medford, RN, WHNP-BC

Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Kay Medford, RN, WHNP-BC is originally from West Tennessee, but for the past 20+ years, has lived in Cleveland with her husband and almost-ready-to-fly-the-coop son, Will.

She attended the University of Tennessee at Martin for her pre-nursing degree. She received her Master of Science at the University Center for Health Sciences in Memphis after which she completed post-graduate work in high-risk obstetrics.

She worked in obstetrics and gynecology for 25 years before returning to school at University of Tennessee, Knoxville to complete requirements for board certification and licensure as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Her focus is on care of women across the age span, both well and problem visits.

Kay enjoys crafting, sewing, reading and movies. Her and her husband, David, also enjoy raising Brittany bird dogs (previously known as Brittany spaniels) and being “owned” by a Jack Russell Terrier.

Galen Obstetrics & Gynecology specializes in the medical and surgical care of the female reproductive system and associated disorders for women of all ages. Our health care providers take a compassionate and responsive approach to obstetric and gynecologic care from adolescence through childbirth and beyond. We partner with our patients to achieve the best treatment plans for them.

Identifying disorder and disease involves a process of “learning the body’s language’ to interpret imbalances that may lead to illness.
