Specialist in Pediatrics
A Chattanooga native, Kate Wilson grew up on Signal Mountain, eventually pursuing her undergraduate degree at Furman University where she obtained a B.S. in Biology. She continued her education in medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis, TN, thereafter completing her residency at the University of TN Science Center Pediatric Residency Program at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
Kate has been practicing at the Galen North Pediatrics after hours clinic for the past two years, and has a passion for making sick kids feel better while offering reassurance to parents in the process. She is committed to her continued education, staying up to date on best practices and procedures in evidence-based medicine, and she seeks also to inspire the parents of her patients to always keep learning too.
“Working with children is very motivational to me,” Kate said. “Every visit offers a chance for education or an intervention that will hopefully contribute to helping kids build a lifetime of health, resiliency, and wellbeing.”
In her spare time, Kate loves enjoying the wealth of outdoor activities the Scenic City offers up alongside her husband, son, and daughter. She’s also very grateful to still call Chattanooga home, and for the support system of friends and family she has here.
