Carley Morgan MSN, CNM

Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Carley Morgan MSN, CNM is a certified Nurse Midwife Specialist at Galen OB/GYN. She grew up in both Louisiana and Arkansas and moved to Chattanooga to be closer to her family. She attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for both her bachelor’s degree and her nursing training. She received her master’s degree from Frontier Nursing University where she also completed her nurse-midwifery training.

Carley has always been drawn to science. During her early education, she was always curious about how things worked in the natural world. Nursing appealed to her because it combined both science and pieces from other professions that interest her such as therapy and teaching. Carley chose nurse-midwifery as her specialty because she was fascinated by the capability and complexity of women, and she believes birth is an irreplaceable rite of passage.

She has been in practice since 2015 and is privileged at Parkridge East, Erlanger East, and Erlanger North. Carley’s favorite part of her job is the opportunity to influence the health of a family at its very inception. Her approach to the patient experience is based upon the belief that all women deserve the right to make educated decisions regarding their health, including during pregnancy and birth. She believed midwifery allows for this education and shared decision-making to take place.

Carley’s perfect day off would include a combination of downtime, with her husband and two children, meditation, exercise, and productivity. Her hobbies include hiking traveling, and currently, she is relearning to play the piano. Her favorite thing about Chattanooga is that it is both a big and small town at once.
