Specialist in Family Medicine
Megan Coffey, a Chattanooga native, is a certified Family Practitioner at Galen Flash Clinic. Megan grew up on Lookout Mountain in Georgia and graduated from Girls Preparatory School here in Chattanooga. She graduated with her undergraduate in nursing from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Then she obtained her graduate degree in nursing for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Megan has been in the medical field for a total of 12 years. She was a registered nurse for eight years and has been a family nurse practitioner for the past three years. Megan has been surrounded by medicine all of her life. Her philosophy is to effectively listen to patients’ thoughts and concerns during their time together. She is a big advocate when it comes to patient education.
Megan has been happily married for ten years and has a 6-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son. Her ideal day off work includes spending time with her family in the greater Chattanooga area. Her hobbies include being outdoors, hiking, and tent camping. Her favorite parts of Chattanooga are the eclectic food that the city has to offer around town and the beautiful hiking trails.
I want my patients to know that I am truly listening to them during our time together. I am also a big advocate when it comes to patient education. I want my patients to understand how their bodies work, what happens when there is something wrong, and how different treatments may help.
