Kaley Mounce, FNP-C

Specialist in Family Medicine

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Kaley Mounce has been in the medical field for 17 years, the last 4 working as a Nurse Practitioner. Born and raised in Chattanooga, she obtained her BSN at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, then went on to continue her education at East Tennessee State University where she achieved her MSN.

It was her love for learning and helping others that drove her into the field of healthcare. “This was the perfect match for me,” Kaley said, “allowing me to continually learn while applying that knowledge to real life so that I can positively impact my patients.”

Kaley said her heart is happiest when working in pediatrics, though she still enjoys caring for patients of all ages. The thing she loves most about her job is the interactions she gets to have with the kids. “From bits of incredible insight to, to brutal honesty, you never know what they’re going to say. Also most kids are happy and optimistic, contagious qualities, and even when going through rough circumstances, they are resilient and tougher than most adults.”

Kaley has a husband of 14 years and 3 amazing children, and she loves spending time with them when she’s away from work. She enjoys all things outdoors, board games, watching soccer, camping, sewing, and crafting.

MY CARE PHILOSOPHY:

My care philosophy is simple— I treat my patients how I would want my family to be treated. I try to connect with each patient to establish the foundational trust that is essential to the provider/patient relationship. I also feel that the patient’s/parent’s level of understanding is an important aspect of individual health. If I can arm them with accurate information, they will have the tools to make informed decisions about health.
