She attended the University of Georgia for undergrad, the Medical College of Georgia for nursing school, and then Samford University for Nurse Practitioner school. Caroline decided to pursue medicine because she enjoys helping others.

Isabel Warren is a board-certified Physician Assistant at Galen Dermatology. She grew up in the Greater Chattanooga area and graduated high school from Boyd Buchanan. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a bachelor’s in kinesiology. She then received her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Dr. James Carsten brings over 25 years of expertise in family medicine to Galen Medical Group. Born in Chicago and raised in suburban Wheaton, IL, Dr. Carsten and his family relocated to the Chattanooga area in 2021, seeking a healthier and more vibrant community. Dr. Carsten was drawn to medicine by a desire to merge science with meaningful human interaction, influenced by a mentor in his church who was a physician.

Born and raised in Chickamauga, GA, Melissa Lee is a proud Gordon Lee High School graduate. Her journey into medicine began with a change of heart during her initial semester in college. Originally aspiring to be a social worker, a life-altering car accident shifted her perspective, drawing her closer to the world of nursing, inspired by her mother’s path. Practicing since 2015, Melissa is a dedicated professional.

Dr. Lauren Thomas is a proud alumna of Heritage High School, born at Parkridge East and raised in Ringgold, GA. Her deep-rooted connection to the Chattanooga area is evident. She has chosen to return with her husband, a Ringgold native, to raise their son amidst the city’s vibrant culture and natural beauty. In obstetrics, she cherishes the privilege of ushering new life into the world and supporting mothers throughout their journey.
