Diabetes Education

About 7% of the population has diabetes, but the risk of the disease increases with age.  About 1.5 million new cases of adult diabetes are diagnosed each year, most of them among persons aged 20 to 59.

While diabetes is a dangerous disease, leading to blindness, amputations and early death, the risks can be reduced greatly through medication, diet, exercise and healthy lifestyle choices.

That’s where the Galen Diabetes Education Program comes in.  Led by a certified diabetes educator, our program teaches men, women and children of any age to not just survive, but thrive, with diabetes.  The Galen program is approved by American Diabetes Association and the cost is covered by Medicare and most insurance plans.
